A group of 4 out of San Jose joined us for a day of rafting down the Lower Gorge of the South Fork American and had this to say about their experience..

Hello Ian and Everyone at AO Rafting~

Thank you so much for an awesome trip! Your personalized service from beginning to the end was wonderful!
My mother was recently diagnosed with cancer and wanted to go on a rafting trip before she started radiation therapy. She had surgery 6 weeks prior to the trip so we were worried about her being able to row. We originally signed up for the Tom Sawyer Trip because of it’s easy nature. I got a call from the AO office the next day asking if that was really what we wanted to do and they suggested that we might like to go on the South Fork Lower Section. I want to thank you for personally making sure that my mom would be able to go on the trip and not have to row. That type of service alone made me so amazed with AO Rafting.

But it gets better:
From the moment we checked in all the guides were awesome. Melissa was so helpful with information. We had a few questions but before we could ask them, she had already addressed all our concerns.
On the trip our guide, Brian K, took good care of my mom and everyone on our raft. We had a wonderful time!!

Plus the lunch was awesome!! Appetizers, sandwiches with all the fixins and then some.
Before the trip was over we were talking about what rafting trip we are going to go on next year…of course with AO Rafting!

All went great on the big trip. Mel is an excellent, pleasant, hilarious, competent and professional river guide that AO should be very proud of. We’ll be back to do the middle fork next time and I hope to see her again.

Some feedback haling from the Midwest.. this Michigan resident embarked on his first ever rafting trip on the Middle Fork American and said…

Howard,

We had such a great time! Our guide, Dylan, was more than willing to answer questions, was extremely knowledgeable about how to guide and navigate the river, and I felt safe throughout the whole trip. The lunch was amazing, and we certainly have tons of great memories for our first whitewater rafting trip. We are even thinking about going in the spring next year on the river 1 hr outside of LA that is Class IV and V.

You and your staff made our trip so easy to plan and in our case add on a few extras, not to mention letting us all pay separately over the phone makes things much simpler when you are 3000 miles from home.

A mom and her son rafted for the first time on a 2-Day South Fork American rafting trip and had this to say…

Hi Howard,

My son and I had an awesome trip. This was our first river rafting trip and it exceeded every expectation. The provided meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner were very filling and delicious….Our guide Erika was the best….she guided us through rapids and rescues. We were put on a raft with two other moms that were there with their high school sons as well and the boys had a great time together….we all bonded on this trip. We were very excited when we were able to successfully rescue four grown men into our boat during a chain of rapids after their boat had tipped over from the first rapid and this was all because of our guide…..she did an awesome job calling out the commands and keep us working together to accomplish the rescue and getting through the remaining rapids. My son is already planning our next rafting trip for next summer with AO.

Andy and his party of 3 embarked on a Tuolumne 3-Day Trip. Here is what Andy had to say…

I have nothing but good things to say about the trip. The food was great, the guides were great, the weather was great and overall it was a great trip. We will definitely be rafting with AO in the future. Ryan, Lindsey, Dave, Joe, Colin and Cameron were nothing less than superb in making sure the trip was the best that it could be. It was also nice talking with Diana and Dorothy from your reservations office that were also on the trip. They were a wealth of information for our future rafting experiences. Thanks again to everyone from AO for making our trip enjoyable.

Krista Parker booked a 2-Day rafting trip on the South Fork American for her family and had this to say about their experience…

We had an AWESOME rafting experience. The guides (Kohner), the food, the scenery and most importantly, the river was spectacular. This is probably my 4th trip with AO and each trip is better than the last.

Next year we plan on doing the 2 day middle fork. My daughters will be requesting Kohner for our guide!

Please let the owners know what a great operation they are running and how happy we are the service. Starting with you in the trip planning phase, and all the admin staff down to the guides on the river. Everyone is so personable, well spoken and knowledgable. I felt so safe taking my kids down the river with Kohner. He was fantastic!

Your Cherry Creek trip was awesome.  We had so much fun.  Everybody was more than fulfilled.  We were all very impressed with the meeting the night before to orient us, as well as the knowledge and professionalism of all the guides.  It truly made for a safe yet incredibly fun trip.  The food was great as well.  All the rapids were incredible and so far beyond anything that I have ever done before.  We are thinking about trying to do a high water Lower Tuolumne trip possibly this next spring.  If you have any advise about when usually is the best time to do this would be we are looking forward to start setting something up.  Thank you again for all your help in making this trip successful.

Couloir S. of West Linn,CA booked a party of 3 on a Tuolume 1-Day Trip and had  ”a fabulous time”.

We had a fabulous time rafting on the Tuolumne River.  The guides were great and very knowledgeable.  We had a lot of fun and never had to worry about anything, everything ran very smoothly.  The lunch was great as well.  My friends were a little nervous before we started but once on the river they could not get enough.  They wanted more rapids.    Thanks for a wonderful day.

Our trip was fantastic!  Our guides, Randy, Sierra, and Tom were so friendly and fun, the food was delicious and plentiful, the rafting was exciting, and the hiking was beautiful.  This was our second All-Outdoors trip, and I’m sure we’ll be back again.  Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

This was a surprise birthday party trip on the Middle Fork American…

Lenka – It was an outstanding trip from beginning to end – a real adventure, with just the right amount of danger, great food (we all completely appreciated the emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables, completely a surprise considering the wilderness journey we were on), wonderful guides (Anita and Joe) who took care of so well that All Outdoors has us hooked for life.  We will be back for either the Tuolumne or Merced trip within the next year.  And we will ask for Anita and Joe again.
