Feedback: Tuolumne 1-Day 5-27-2008

Feedback from a group rafting trip on the Tuolumne river back in May.

Hi Diana!

Sorry for the delayed response. My group did have a good time despite the weather. The guides for both of our rafts were outstanding. They really made the trip more enjoyable and kept us positive.

Rafting down the Tuolomne was a new experience. It is one of the prettiest rivers I have been on. I am sure I would have appreciated the length if it had been a little warmer. At times, it didn’t seem as “action packed” but I am assuming that is due to the longer run.

I have truly enjoyed working with you and your company! You made it as painless as possible to schedule and book a group trip with understanding when people backed out, initially. Those things didn’t go unnoticed! I don’t know if I will make another trip this summer but you will definitely be our go to company for our annual rafting trip next year!

Thanks again!
Amy

Feedbak: South Fork American 2-Day 6-6-2008

Feedback is from a ladies church group from Los Osos, CA. They did a South Fork American 2-Day Trip with their group of 22.

Hi Diana,

The trip was everything we had hoped for and more. We did have two swimmers (my boat, of course) on the first day, but they recovered quickly! ALL of the women had a terrific time and can’t wait to come back again next year. The guides were amazing and the food was great. In fact, as we were kind of brainstorming on the way home as to what worked well and what we might change for next time, I can honestly tell you that we wouldn’t change a thing with regard to the quality and service we received from AO. You guys are the best!

With regard to next year, we were wondering how early we could book and what the deposit requirements would be if we tried to book before spring. We felt that if we could set a date early enough (even now, if possible), it would give more of our ladies enough time to plan and save up for next year’s trip. We would try to do it around the same time, preferably after Memorial Day but before school is out. In looking at next year’s calendar, we are thinking about the weekend of May 29-30. Any feedback or advice you have is appreciated.

Thank you again for helping us plan such a successful event! And please thank the guides again for us — they absolutely made our trip and we
would love to have the same three (Joe, Louis & Cameron) again next year.

Regards,

Susan

Feedback: South Fork 1-Day 6-6-2008

Feedback from a South Fork American 1-Day trip through the Lower Gorge on June 6.

Dorothy,

I am delighted to give feedback about our trip. We had a blast. Our guide was Ben and he could not have been more helpful, informative and fun. Actually Jennifer was personally able to assist him in demonstrating what to do when you fall in… i.e. don’t panic, float on your back with your feet in front of you… It was a surprise to everyone when within minutes of getting into the raft we hit a rock and Jennifer went over. But, that only set the tone for an exciting, fun-filled time.

Our lunch was good and the guides did a good job of setting it all up for us. Ben guided us with expertise and a sense of humor. All-Outdoors definitely impressed us as a reputable organization and we will not hesitate to recommend you to friends and family.

Feedback: Merced River 1-Day 6-1-2008

Feedback from an Eric P. of Healdburd, CA. Eric rafted the Merced River with his two sons.

Brian, Ethan, and I had another wonderful trip on the Merced. I cannot say enough about our guide Lindsey. If I return to the Merced again, it will be partly in hopes of spending more time on the river with this professional and fun person. She made my youngests son’s trip unforgettable. She is a great representative to All Outdoors and you should feel lucky to have her on your team. You cannot help but feel happy when you are around her. I will probably return again to the Merced providing my two sons don’t lose interest in their old man. If I do, I will be booking with AO and hope to see Lindsey again on the river.

Best regards,

Eric Petereit

Feedback: South Fork American River 5-26-2008

Customer feedback from a South Fork American River rafting over Memorial Day weekend. Keala K. of San Jose, CA joined us with her family for a 1-Day trip down the Lower “Gorge” Run.

Hi Roxanne-

This was our second trip with your company and both times the trip was fun, the guides we fantastic, and my kid(s) had a blast (ages 8 and 11).

The guide made me feel comfortable that the kids were safe! I originally selected AO because of the Sunset Magazine endorsement. This year we
camped at Camp Lotus the night before the trip and will definitely do that when we book our next trip. The food was appropriate (healthy and
enough choices). We will definitely book a trip with you again.

P.S. I am not sure how the reward program works. I booked a trip for 2 adults and 1 kid last year, and this year it was 2 adults and 2 kids. So I have paid for 7 trips. Let me know if I need to somehow register for the free trip rewards.

Thanks,
Keala

Feedback: Tuolumne River 5-24-2008

Feedback is from a Tuolumne 2-Day Trip from Sandro T. of San Francisco. Sounds like Sandro and his group of friends had an awesome time despite a bit of cooler / precipitous weather over the Memorial Day weekend.

Hi Lenka,

Good to hear from you. We all had a great time this weekend and you and Howard were an important part of that.

I know that this trip got Avi, Jerod, Ricky and I pretty excited about another trip. Perhaps we might want to run the Cal Salmon with Howard and yourself next Spring? I think I can speak for all of us in saying that we would definitely want Howard’s expertise should we choose to expose ourselves to more class V rapids!

Anyways, we’ll be in touch with you I’m sure. In the meantime, please send my regards to Howard and have a good summer.

Best,
Sandro

Feedback: Kaweah River 5-4-2008

Caroll D of Tracy, CA who is also an AO Frequent Floater joined us on the Kaweah River with her party of 4. Here’s what Caroll had to say…

Hello Lenka,

We had a great time!!! Danny our guide was excellent. Never saw a boat wrap before and it was interesting to watch them try and try and finally succeed in getting it unwrapped. The people in that boat really had an adventure and I’m glad it was not us. Two in their boat also got to swim a little but were picked up quickly and we picked up the paddles.

The lunch was the best ever. My husband is a vegetarian and we appreciated the choices he had. Of course the weather could not have been better. Our friends said it was the best technical trip they had ever been on.

We spent the night in a cabin at the meet place. The staff was very nice and we got a discount on our room which was nice. All and all a great experience and would like to do it again but this month is booked. So we would like to do the Stanislaus if there is enough water in mid or late June.

Let us know,

Caroll

Feedback: California Salmon 5-21-2008

Post trip response from our one and only California Salmon rafting trip of 2008.

Lenka,

I had an absolutely spectacular time on the Cal Salmon. The weather was perfect., the river big and fast. It ranks right up there with Cherry Creek. All the guides were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed Lyndsey and Kelly’s camaraderie and nobody reads the river better than Adam. Scott was warm and welcoming as always. Lunch was satisfying and tasty. Please let me know if an opportunity like this happens again.

Speaking of which, Adam mentioned a possible paddle trip on Cherry Creek. If that happens I would like to be a part of it if possible. I want to do Cherry Creek again this year but I’m still trying to figure out when it will work in my calendar. The paddle trip would be my first choice but it that doesn’t materialize I’m probably looking at the weekend of the 23rd or 24th of August. Keep in touch, and thank you again. It was great to meet Darren in person too. Say hi for me.
